Acwa Field Services provides specialized, independent maintenance and engineering services for critical power generation assets. Formerly known as NMES, the business was founded in 2009 and became part of the Acwa Group in 2018. In 2026, it was rebranded as Acwa Field Services to reflect its role within Acwa Operations and its growing global reach.

Today, Acwa Field Services delivers OEM-equivalent maintenance, repair, and engineering services for gas turbines, steam turbines,

generators, and rotating equipment across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and selected international markets. Our teams work directly at site, supporting both Acwa assets and third-party facilities with precision, speed, and care.

As a leading regional non-OEM service provider, we are trusted for long-term service agreements across multiple OEM platforms. Our strength lies in executing complex, time-critical work on site, helping reduce outage duration, limit logistics risk, and lower total lifecycle cost for asset owners.

Turbine and rotating equipment services

We provide OEM-equivalent maintenance and repair services for gas turbines, steam turbines, and critical rotating equipment. This includes major, medium, and minor inspections, overhauls, repairs, and parts-supply across multiple OEM technologies, supporting both Acwa assets and third-party operators.

Our generator services cover full OEM-equivalent maintenance and repair across all major OEM platforms, including:

Complete on-site rotor and stator rewinds for generators of any size.
Advanced robotic inspection using compact, non-OEM inspection systems that allow testing without rotor removal.
On-site rotor removal and handling solutions that eliminate the need for heavy craneage.
Purpose-built, climate-controlled clean rooms for precision work.

CNC machining, milling, drilling, tapping, honing, and facing of casings, rotors, seal strips, and valve components.
Precision welding using laser cladding and TIG welding techniques.
On-site rotor heat treatment, balancing, alignment, and vibration services.
Advanced spark erosion for the removal of broken or seized fasteners in all materials.
On-site valve repair and online safety valve testing.
Surface treatment and cleaning using media and dry-ice blasting, with protective compressor coatings to improve efficiency and reduce fouling.
